Awards season is over — but not for Bryce Dallas Howard.
The actress is finishing up a gig as one of the guest judges for the second annual Moet Moment Film Festival, a short film competition sponsored by the champagne brand. On the heels of news that the due date for entries has been extended to March 27 — with a winner scheduled to be revealed at a Tribeca Film Festival dinner party on April 26 — The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Howard, a task easier said than done.
She’s in the thick of filming the as-yet untitled sequel to Jurassic World, reprising her role as Claire in the anticipated J.A. Bayona-directed flick alongside Chris Pratt. But during a break on set, the 35-year-old was game to give updates on the new installment, why she loves Beyonce so much and what it means to her to be dubbed the “Everywoman’s Fashion Icon” by Vanity Fair.
You’re back at work now filming the sequel to Jurassic World. I know you’re working long days — thank you for fitting in this interview — so what is it like to be back in those shoes? And are they high heels again?
Making a Jurassic film is challenging, exhilarating and most importantly fun. No matter the footwear, Claire is a woman who gets things done. I’m so excited to be doing it a second time. Plus Chris Pratt is here every day doing his spontaneous dance parties — what’s better than that?
Jurassic World 2 is finally gearing up for production.
Director J.A. Bayona and the rest of the Jurassic World 2 production team have finally begun work on the Jurassic World sequel to make sure that the film lands somewhere close to its expected release date. The film’s producer Frank Marshall signaled the beginning of the film’s production with a photo shared on Twitter.
The new reveal from Marshall doesn’t offer up much in terms of the plot of Jurassic World 2, however according to a report by Cosmic Book News, Colin Trevorrow has indicated that the untitled Jurassic World sequel would be much scarier.
“It will be more suspenseful and scary. It’s just the way it’s designed; it’s the way the story plays out. I knew I wanted Bayona to direct it long before anyone ever heard that was a possibility, so the whole thing was just built around his skill set,” the original Jurassic World director revealed in an older interview.
Slated for release on June 22, 2018, Jurassic World 2 will see the return of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. While Trevorrow is back writing the script for the film together with Derek Connolly, the directorial reigns have been given to Bayona.
Seemingly the entire planet has been waiting for the sequel to 2015’s wildly popular movie, Jurassic World ever since we watched Bryce Dallas Howard coax the T-Rex out of her habitat to battle the great Indominus Rex.
Now, Howard has confirmed that the sequel has not only being produced but also that the production is beginning very soon. According to Howard, she and co-star Chris Pratt will both be returning to their roles for the second movie, tentatively titled Jurassic World 2. As she told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m getting ready to go to [film] Jurassic [World 2]. I’m leaving really soon. It’s awesome. Now we’re in the flow of things where everyone is talking every day and we’re gonna go put on a show!” The latest installment in the storied Jurassic Park franchise earned $1.67 billion worldwide and was the second highest grossing film in 2015 domestically (only behind The Force Awakens), so it was pretty much a given that a sequel was on its way.
Bryce Dallas Howard is getting ready to return to the Jurassic World franchise!
The 35-year-old actress revealed to ET that she will begin shooting a sequel to the film “really soon.”
“I’m getting ready to go to [film] Jurassic [World 2] and I got contact lenses to block off my pupil,” Howard told ET’s Cameron Mathison during the SAG Awards red carpet on Sunday, noting that she has sensitivity to bright lights and it sometimes makes it hard for her to shoot.
“I’m leaving really soon,” she said, adding, “It’s awesome. Now we’re in the flow of things where everyone is talking every day and we’re gonna go put on a show!”
Bryce Dallas Howard says Jurassic World 2 will go in an exciting, unexpected direction, JoBlo reports. Her character, Claire, will be greatly changed by the events of the last movie. However, Howard says at her core she’s still the same person.
“That’s part of the story, that’s part of the journey. She definitely went through a lot and is permanently changed because of that,” Howard said of Claire. “But she is also who she is. Chris [Pratt] and I are already having a lot of fun with that.”
“Jurassic World 2” is still a year away and it hasn’t started production yet. It will begin this February, and it seems that the franchise is going to be bigger and darker. Bryce Dallas Howard, who stars as Claire in “Jurassic World”, hinted that her character will be very different in the sequel.
Bryce Dallas Howard has dinosaurs on her mind
Bryce Dallas Howard couldn’t keep her next project out of her mind. The actress is currently promoting her film, “Gold”, in which she stars opposite Matthew McConaughey as his girlfriend. The story revolves around the couple trudging through the Indonesian jungle looking for gold. The media couldn’t help asking the 35-year-old actress about the highly-anticipated “Jurassic World 2”.
Jurassic World took audiences by storm last year, but there hasn’t been much spoken about the upcoming sequel since, aside from the fact that there will most certainly be one.
While plot details haven’t been revealed (as they are most likely still being decided upon), actress Bryce Dallas Howard will be reprising her role as Claire. In a recent interview with CBR, she was asked about the status of the next film in the franchise, and if any story has been solidified yet.
Bryce Dallas Howard filmed Jurassic World and Pete’s Dragon — two tentpole blockbusters featuring behemoth CGI creatures — in such close proximity the actress admits that there were points where she forgot which set she was on. As she puts it: “One almost felt like an extension of the other, and I really would get confused all the time.”
It doesn’t seem like Howard has stopped working since, either. The 35-year-old mother of two recently appeared in an episode of Netflix’s buzzed-about series Black Mirror and will soon be seen in the December drama Gold opposite Matthew McConaughey.
In between she chatted with Yahoo Movies for a Facebook Live (watch above) to promote this week’s home release of Pete’s Dragon, Disney’s live-action update of the 1977 favorite. Some highlights:
If you’re looking for a feel-good family movie this holiday season (and one that will undoubtedly make you cry…a lot), look no further than Pete’s Dragon. The 1977 animated movie got the live-action treatment earlier this year, and it’s hitting the DVD (and/or, streaming) shelves next week just in time for you to snag a copy for the die-hard Disney enthusiasts in your life. It even stars a Disney enthusiasts!
Of course, we’re talking about the delightful Bryce Dallas Howard, who traded in her Black Mirror and her dinosaurs for a little while to play Grace, a park ranger who happens to come across the orphaned Pete in the woods, and soon finds herself face-to-face with Elliot — that’s the dragon of Pete’s Dragon fame.
I have added 2,107 photos of Bryce’s film, The Village. I am astounded that I managed to acquire so many. I knew I had a lot, but not that many lol. I did have issues with my program, so maybe there are some doubles. That might be why there are so many. But you may view them by clicking the link below!!
Technically it’s an old video – it was from June 11, 2015, promoting Jurassic World. I discovered it while searching videos for my Jake Johnson site. Check it out in the video section or simply click below!
The Jurassic World sequel is making great progress as it is expected to begin production in Hawaii in February 2017 after the production team scouted several locations for the filming of the follow up movie to the 2015 reboot of the Jurassic Park franchise.
The news came via Jurassic Outpost which also reported that it remains unsure when actual filming will begin as infrastructure will also need to be mobilized for this major film.
Bryce Dallas Howard goes from one big adventure to another as she follows up the global blockbuster “Jurassic World” with Walt Disney Pictures’ new, re-imagining of “Pete’s Dragon,” based on the ‘70s classic and cherished family film of the same title.
The new “Pete’s Dragon” is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete (Oakes Fegley) and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.
“Jurassic World 2” might hit theaters earlier than what people expected. And while there’s very little concrete information about the sequel, fans can be certain of two things — Bryce Howard Dallas won’t be running around in high heels and the velociraptors will return.
“Jurassic World” became the surprise hit of 2015 as the science fiction adventure film generated over $1.6 billion in revenue and became the fourth highest grossing film of all time. Apart from its commercial success, the film also became a pop culture phenomenon as it spawned a lot of memes, with the most popular ones involving Chris Pratt’s character Owen Grady training the raptors, and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing running around in heels.
After the success of “Jurassic World,” the sequel from the franchise is all feared to woo fans. The schedule for the subsequent release of “Jurassic World 2” is set to be on June 22, 2018. The movie’s story will feature an entirely new set up, feature Bryce Dallas Howard as the main lead now, instead of Chris Pratt’s character…..
